Independent Consultant, Team Leader/Writer/Editor, responsible for publication of The Earth Negotiations Bulletin, which reports a number of on-going international environmental negotiations on environmental and sustainable development issues including biodiversity/biosafety, desertification, chemicals, climate change and emission trading, ozone protection, and international environmental governance

Barrister & Solicitor, practice areas include: international trade, real estate, environmental law, general corporate/commercial, immigration law, and other China-related projects

Second Secretary, responsible for representing Chinese government to UNEP, participating in multilateral environmental treaty negotiations, and carrying out cooperation projects in all environmental fields between China and UNEP

Chief Programme Officer/Deputy Director, International Organizations and Multilateral Environmental Agreements, responsibilities include negotiations and implementation of multilateral environmental treaties, inter-governmental consultations on issues related to environment and sustainable development, as well as cooperation projects between China and various international organizations

1992 – 1993: Environmental Protection Bureau of Taiyuan Municipality, Taiyuan, Shanxi Province, P. R. China
Assistant Director, responsibilities include implementation of a British ODA-sponsored project on Taiyuan’s environment and energy and a power plant pollution control project funded by the World Bank, as well as the municipality’s annual inspection on environmental law and regulation enforcement
